Terms of service

The terms, in plain English.

These terms cover Wing Display: the Mac app, the tablet app, and the Pro subscription. By installing or using either app you agree to them. They sit alongside the privacy policy, which says what happens to your data.

Last updated 2 October 2026.

Who we are

Wing Display is made by Tamim Deeb, trading as Deeb Labs, in Hungary. "We" and "us" in these terms means him. You can reach us at support@wingdisplay.com.

Wing Display is an independent product and is not affiliated with Apple, Google or Samsung.

What Wing Display is

Wing Display turns an Android tablet into a second screen for a Mac. It has two parts: a Mac app, for macOS 15 or later, which we sign with our Apple Developer ID, have notarized by Apple, and distribute only from this website; and a tablet app, for Android 11 or later, distributed through Google Play. The picture goes directly from your Mac to your tablet, encrypted, and never passes through a server of ours. There are no accounts.

Free use and your licence

Both apps are free to download, and the wireless second screen is free to use, with no time limit. We give you a personal, non-exclusive licence to install and use the apps on devices you own or are allowed to use, at home or at work. The apps remain ours; you get the right to use them, not ownership of them.

Please don't:

The apps include open-source components, which stay under their own licences.

The Pro subscription

Pro adds touch control, the S Pen, palm rejection, and a USB connection. The USB connection currently needs a Mac with Apple silicon. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription you buy only inside the tablet app, through Google Play. We never take a payment on this website.

Google Play's own terms also apply to the purchase itself. To turn Pro on, the tablet shows your Mac the purchase record Google Play signed, and the Mac checks it; the privacy policy explains what that record contains.

When Pro stops (because you cancelled it, Google Play put it on hold or paused it, or it couldn't collect a payment after its grace period) touch, the S Pen, palm rejection and USB stop working until it is active again. Pro also needs your tablet to reach Google Play at least once every 30 days to confirm the subscription. The wireless second screen keeps working, free, as before.

The tablet app beta

The tablet app is currently in a closed beta on Google Play. During the beta, features may change, move or break, and we may end the beta. Pro bought during the beta is a real purchase, charged like any other.

Feedback is very welcome at support@wingdisplay.com. If you send us an idea, we may use it to improve Wing Display without owing you anything for it.

Your devices and your network

Wing Display works between your own devices, on your local network, over your tablet's hotspot, or over a USB cable. We don't host, see or store anything you show on screen. That means you are responsible for:

A second screen can drop or lag, for example on a busy wireless network. Please don't rely on Wing Display where a delayed or missing picture could cause harm.

Acceptable use

Use Wing Display lawfully. Don't use it on devices or networks you are not allowed to use, to view or share content you have no right to, or to attack, overload or probe this website or our download and update service.

Updates

The Mac app checks this website for a newer version about once a day, and you can check on demand with Check for Updates… in the menu bar. It uses the open-source Sparkle updater, and every update is signed so your Mac can tell it came from us. The tablet app is updated through Google Play.

Updates fix bugs and security issues and may add or change features. If an update takes away a Pro feature, the promise under Changes to these terms applies. Now and then the two apps must be on matching versions to connect, so keep both up to date.

Availability and warranty

We work hard to make Wing Display reliable, but we provide it as it is and as available, to the extent the law allows. We can't promise it will work with every Mac, tablet, network or cable, or that it will never be interrupted.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract, including the legal guarantee that digital content and services you get from us conform to what was agreed.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, or for lost data, profits or business, arising from your use of Wing Display. Where we are liable for other loss to you, our liability is limited to the greater of what you paid for Pro in the twelve months before the loss and €50.

These limits do not apply to loss we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, to death or personal injury we cause, or to any other liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Ending

You can stop using Wing Display at any time by uninstalling the apps. If you subscribe to Pro, cancel it in Google Play too, since uninstalling doesn't.

We may discontinue Wing Display or Pro. If we do, we will announce it on this website at least 30 days in advance, stop all renewals, and refund any paid period we can no longer provide.

Changes to these terms

We only change these terms or Pro for a valid reason: a change in the law, security, a new feature, or a change at Google Play or Apple. We post the new version here and change the date at the top. For changes that matter to you, such as anything about Pro, we post them at least 30 days before they apply.

If a change takes away a Pro feature or makes Pro noticeably worse, and you cancel because of it within 30 days of our notice, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for. If you don't agree with any change, you can stop using the apps and cancel Pro.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Hungarian law. If you are a consumer, wherever you live, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.

Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, please write to us first at support@wingdisplay.com. Most problems are quicker to fix by email, and we answer every complaint within 30 days.

If you live in Hungary and we can't resolve it, you can turn to a consumer conciliation body (békéltető testület), free of charge, or to the consumer protection authority. Elsewhere in the EU, the European Consumer Centre in your country can help.
